| Ce
travail découle d'une recherche basée sur l'observation
de la perception de l'espace par le regard au travers de la vidéo.
Grâce à l'utilisation d'un casque servant de support
à deux camescopes placés au niveau des yeux, j'ai
filmé mon trajet quotidien appartement/atelier. A partir
de ces deux sources d'image, je réalise un travail analogue
à celui du cerveau en superposant en vidéo-projection
les enregistrements obtenus pour l'oeil gauche et pour l'oeil droit,
faisant ainsi surgir une réalité décalée.Ce
casque a été réutilisé pour une nouvelle
vidéo tournée à Paris à l'occasion de
l'exposition "Priorité aux piétons" pendant
laquelle j'ai parcouru le trajet métro/galerie/métro
au mois de janvier 2001. |

| This
research is based on the observation of the perception of space by
the glance through the video. I have constructed a helmet -like a
prothesis- which is used as a support for two video cameras placed
at the level of the eyes. With this device, I have filmed my daily
way from my apartment to my workshop. From these two images, I have
completed a work similar to the functioning of the brain by superimposing
in video-projection the recordings obtained for the left eye and the
right eye, thus making emerge a shifted reality. This helmet was re-used
for a new video turned in Paris at the time of the exhibition "Priorité
aux piétons" during which I made the way from the subway
to the gallery in January 2001. |
